We are proud to have created the new vault and schedule builder sites for the internationally known Game Developers Conference (GDC). The sites use a LAMP architecture to deliver a highly scalable experience to game developers everywhere. View the TechWeb case study here.
Grio worked on three education-related applications for NY and SF-based Teachscape using Flex, AIR and .NET technologies. One of these, ADP (Assessment Delivery Platform) allows teachers to administer a real-time assessments to their students.
Grio worked with LA-based Riot Games for 8 months in order to develop many aspects of its celebrated League of Legends online game. Grio built the core Summoner System and contributed to various aspects of the system including an Flex/AIR-based portal and a Java/Spring backend.
The Vook reader launched in October 2009 and has received a huge amount of press since that time. Grio built the Flex-based reader as well as an ecommerce system using LAMP technologies that was hosted on amazon's EC2. View the vook case study here.
Grio is currently partnering with Fluid to build an AS3/Java application for Reebok and a Flex application for The North Face. Grio has also worked with Fluid on an interactive garage planner for Sears and an immersive application for the Vera Wang Princess perfume brand. These are a very cool examples of what Flex can offer the retail world.
Compiere recently tapped Grio to build a Flex-based dynamic form builder for the enterprise called Visual Dictionary Editor. The application was completed in September '09.
Grio partnered with Clientshow to built an interactive AIR-based application that helps creative professionals to pitch work to their clients. Check out the recent Tech Crunch posting about the app.
Grio built a Flex-based media component to record and playback video and audio. In addition, Grio is currently charged with the creation of a new Ambivo website. These enhancements are not yet live.
Details of the system Grio built for izmo are not yet public. However, the application is being aggressively marketed to parters in Asia and should be a big smash. More news to come on this one.
Goalspring contracted Grio to build several backend integrations between major financial institutions and the Goalspring system. The integrations relied on OFX as a protocol and were built using a combination of open source Java technologies (Spring, iBATIS, JIBX, Maven2).
UBM has looked to Grio for architectural direction in the creation of their new event planning system, as well as technical guidance related to corporate acquisitions. Grio recently presented on SaaS (software as a service) at UBM's annual technology summit.
Archipelago enlisted Grio to create a iPhone appplication that allows users to share voice messages on user-created topics. The application was written in Objective C and communicated with a backend server via JSON.
